Eurovent Market Intelligence (EMI), the European statistics office for the HVACR market, has launched its annual collections for 2024, to collect data from manufacturers and provide them with a reliable map of the market. 2024 marks a special milestone as the 30th edition of the annual collections.
In the course of 2023, EMI achieved a historic breakthrough by attracting an unprecedented number of participants, surpassing 450 manufacturers. This resulted in a significant 7% increase in participant numbers which reaffirmed EMI’s standing as the foremost and reliable source for market insights, highlighting its position as the largest repository of data on the HVACR market in relation to market players. The two new annual collections that were launched last year, Residential Ventilation and Evaporative Air Coolers, met great success and will continue again this year.
Although there are no new collections in 2024, there are some new developments in the existing ones. Three more collections – Adiabatic and Hybrid Heat Rejection, Cooling Towers, and VRF – will switch to the flat data format to facilitate the format filling and the data analysis as it offers more flexibility on the online database. The older editions of these programmes are also updated in the flat data format to enable the comparison among years.
On the other hand, some programmes have extended their scope of covered details. The Air Handling Units programme is enriched by the addition of the coil type category (DX, water, electric, gas-fired). The Chiller programme is expanded by a column that investigates the type of application per line (process, comfort, IT, unknown). It is also decided to have more details per country in the Air Curtains and Water Fan Heaters collections.
The 2024 annual collections officially opened on 03 January 2024. Manufacturers are welcome to submit data for 19 statistics programmes. The deadline for submissions is 16 February 2024. EMI continues to prioritise deadlines to ensure the recentness of information. The results of all annual programmes are scheduled to be released in March 2024.
